Ájtte's nature collections – behind the scenes

Follow us behind the scenes at Ájtte! Here, in the museum's warehouse, is the largest part of our natural history collection – almost 30,000 specimens of species found around Sápmi. Ájtte is actually the only museum in northern Sweden that collects natural history material on a large scale. That makes us unique! During the tour you will learn more about the collections and the stories behind them. Göran Sjöberg, who has been involved since 1988, has built up both the exhibitions and the collections – and since 2007 he has led the work of the Archives & Collections unit. Gathering at the hut in the Old Hall, max. 5 people. Admission (120 SEK) and a ticket (60 SEK) are required.
