For those of you who are planning a visit to Jokkmokk’s market, here is information about accommodation, where you can eat, how to travel to Jokkmokk and other things that can be good to know as a market visitor. If you are missing something, please contact us at jokkmokksmarknad@jokkmokk.se.
A lot of people are looking for accommodation under Jokkmokk’s market and the regular accommodation in the central town is quickly fully booked. That is why many Jokkmokk residents open their homes to market visitors. The Market Office does not have a centralised private accommodation service, so we recommend Airbnb, various Facebook groups, Blocket and other accommodation websites and services.
We advise you not to give up if you don’t get accommodation immediately. With some patience, it will usually work out! Below you will find a list of accommodation in Jokkmokk municipality. The tourist information Jokkmokk’s Infocenter can be reached on telephone +46 (0)971-222 50.
Please note that several of the facilities are located at such a distance from central Jokkmokk that you will be dependent on having your own transport. Feel free to ask about transport options when you book.

A number of enterprises organize trips to Jokkmokk’s Winter Market. It is possibly to fly to our nearest airports: Gällivare, Arvidsjaur or Luleå and continue by bus to Jokkmokk. These flights can be booked via your travel agency.
Travel by train to the nearest station in Murjek can also be booked via SN-Resor. There are connecting buses for the trains.
Travel by bus from different cities in Norrbotten or Västerbotten is also possible during the Winter Market. For the regular bus-tours call Länstrafiken at +46- 771- 100 110. On arriving in Jokkmokk buses take an alternate route due to the market, which closes some of the central streets. Länstrafiken’s buses only pick up passengers at the bus station during the market and not at any other stops in town (Wednesday – Sunday).
