The market is over for now and calm has returned to Jokkmokk. That doesn't mean the people of Jokkmokk are lazing around. Right now, there's an extreme running race going on in the mountains with the finish line in the heart of Jokkmokk tomorrow, and at the end of March it's time for the world's longest ski race, the Nordenskiöldsloppet.
We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all approximately 140 stallholders and to all the organizers who together arranged for there to be over 250 different events (lectures, concerts, winter activities and much more) for visitors to choose from. Without you, Jokkmokk Market would not be what it is.
50 tons of thanks (the amount of sand used) to the gang at the street office who work hard almost around the clock with cleaning, snow removal, sanding and making sure everything else around works as it should.
Thank you to all our lovely market hosts. Your work in helping visitors with everything between heaven and earth in the market area is incredibly appreciated by both market goers and visitors.
A special thank you also goes to Rigmor, who for 10 years has entertained visitors on all three market days while waiting for the Reindeer Parade at the Snow Stage.
Finally, we would like to thank you, all our visitors, for coming. You are what makes it a folk festival and we hope you had a fantastic experience here with us.
