Besöksrekord för Jokkmokks marknad 2025!

Jokkmokks marknad är alltid välbesökt, men 2025 slog marknaden nytt rekord med hela 53 500 besökare under de tre marknadsdagarna.

Birgitta, som arbetat med marknaden i över 30 år, säger “Det är fantastiskt att en så traditionsrik marknad ständigt upplevs intressant och lockar till sig allt fler besökare från i stort sett hela världen”.

Marknaden är inte bara en attraktion i sig, utan också en del av en större trend där allt fler besöker kommunen för både äventyrliga upplevelser och stillhet eller kultur. Det visar på Jokkmokks unika dragningskraft. Det är spännande att se hur kommunen utvecklas och fortsätter att erbjuda något för alla.

Nu siktar vi in oss på marknaden 2026 och förberedelserna är redan igång. Boka in 5-7 februari så kanske vi ses i vimlet!

Thank you for this year!

The market is over for this time and the calmness has returned to Jokkmokk. That doesn’t mean that the people of Jokkmokk are lazing around. Right now, there’s an extreme running race going on in the mountains with the finish line in the heart of Jokkmokk tomorrow, and at the end of March it’s time for the world’s longest ski race, the Nordenskiöldsloppet.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all 140+ vendors and to all the organizers who together arranged more than 250 different events (lectures, concerts, winter activities and much more) for visitors to choose from. Without you, Jokkmokk’s Market would not be what it is.

50 tons of thanks (the amount of sand that was used) to the crew at the street office who work hard almost 24/7 with cleaning, snow removal, sanding and making sure everything else around works as it should.

Also, lots of thanks to all our lovely market hosts. Your work in helping visitors with everything between heaven and earth out in the market area is incredibly appreciated by both street vendors and visitors.

A special thank you also goes to Rigmor, who for 10 years has entertained visitors on all three market days while waiting for the reindeer rajd at the Snow Stage.

And finally, we would like to thank all of you visitors for coming to the market. You are what make the market into the highlight that it is, and we hope you had a fantastic experience here with us.

See you in the crowd again next year, right?

Tack för i år!

Marknaden är över för den här gången och lugnet har åter lagt sig över Jokkmokk. Det betyder inte att Jokkmokkarna ligger på latsidan. Just nu pågår ett extremt löplopp i fjällen med målgång i hjärtat av Jokkmokk imorgon, och i slutet av mars är det dags för världens längsta skidlopp, Nordenskiöldsloppet.

Vi vill rikta vårt varmaste tack till alla cirka 140 knallar och till alla arrangörer som tillsammans ordnade så att det fanns drygt 250 olika evenemang (föreläsningar, konserter, vinteraktiviteter och mycket mer) för besökarna att välja mellan. Utan er skulle inte Jokkmokks Marknad vara det den är.


50 ton tack (mängden sand som gick åt) till gänget på gatukontoret som jobbar hårt nästan dygnet runt med renhållning, snöröjning, sandning och att allt annat runtomkring fungerar som det ska.

Tack till alla våra härliga marknadsvärdar. Ert arbete med att hjälpa besökare med allt mellan himmel och jord ute på marknadsområdet är otroligt uppskattat av både knallar och besökare.

Ett särskilt tack går också till Rigmor, som under 10 års tid underhållit besökarna alla tre marknadsdagarna i väntan på Renrajden vid Snöscenen.

Till sist vill vi tacka er, alla våra besökare för att ni kom. Det är ni som gör att det blir en folkfest och vi hoppas att ni hade en fantastisk upplevelse här hos oss.

I år var det den 60:e året som Per Kuhmunen med familj leder rajden genom marknadsområdet.

 

The market hosts will be back

Good news! Last year we tried a new thing in collaboration with the two pensioners associations that are here in Jokkmokk, PRO and SPF. Our lovely, happy pensioners acted as market hosts.

They walked around the area equipped with programs and maps, and answered lots of questions about both big and small. This was incredibly appreciated by both visitors and fans, and our fantastic hosts thought it was really fun.

Since it was so appreciated by everyone, we are of course running with market hosts again this year! They will circulate the market area, wearing the yellow vests you see in the picture. They are more than happy to answer all your questions and help you find your way through the chaos.
